How to make "Edamame rice" that's delicious even when cooled [Iwatetsu recipe]

Ingredients and recipe for edamame rice

<Ingredients>
・Edamame beans (with pods, about 300 g )
・1.5 cups of rice ・300 cc of water
・1 teaspoon salt


<How to make>
(1) Wash the rice and drain it in a colander 30 minutes before you start cooking.
(2) Remove the edamame beans from their pods.
(3) Add the rice and water from step 1 to the pot and stir gently.
(4) Place the edamame beans removed from their pods on top.
(5) Cook uncovered over medium heat until boiling.
(6) After 1 minute from when it starts to boil, reduce heat to low and cover.
(7) After 10 minutes on low heat, turn off the heat and steam for 12 minutes.


This completes the delicious edamame rice dish that tastes great even when cooled.
