3 easy recipes for grilled rice cakes made with a ductile pan! [Iwatetsu Ironware]
This time, we will introduce three recipes for baked rice cakes made in a ductile pan.
How do you cook the mochi rice cakes you eat during New Year's?
Bake in the toaster, boil in a pot, microwave...
Do you think there are various ways to do this?
This time we will show you how to bake in a ductile pan.
Baking rice cakes in a ductile pan gives them a different texture than usual.
It is baked in a thin layer of oil, giving the surface a crunchy texture like rice crackers!
It doesn't puff up like when you bake it in a toaster, so it maintains its shape and ends up being crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey in the middle.
How to grill Yakimochi deliciously
1 Lightly coat a ductile pan with salad oil.
2 Add the rice cake and place over low heat.
3 Once browned, flip it over and cook until browned on both sides and it's done!
Enjoy with your favorite toppings.
*Normally, mochi will stick if you don't season it with oil (heat the frying pan to a high temperature, then add oil and let it soak into the surface of the pan), but mochi won't stick even if you put it in when it's cold!
So, here's an easy recipe idea!
Classic red bean paste mochi topped with butter! For a richer taste. [Red bean paste and butter grilled mochi] Recipe
Ingredients: 2 grilled mochi 1 teaspoon salad oil
2 tablespoons of red bean paste
Butter, as much as you like
● How to make it
1. Add oil to a ductile pan and fry the rice cakes.
2. Heat the red bean paste in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
3 Place the red bean paste on the grilled rice cake and then top with butter.
By heating the red bean paste in the microwave, the butter will melt and the mixture will become more cohesive.
You can use butter when frying the mochi, but be careful not to heat it too much as it will burn!
Also great as a side dish!
